ushrooms were considered by Egyptian pharaohs and emperors of China to be the plant of immortality.  In fact, the pharaohs and the emperors of China found the mushroom so delectable that they decreed no commoner could ever touch them.

o the ancient Romans they were the "food of the Gods" resulting from bolts of lightning thrown to the earth by Jupiter during thunder storms; the Egyptians considered them as "a gift from the God Osiris" while the Chinese viewed them as "the elixir of life.

In Shen Nong´s Herbal Classic, the earliest extant monograph on material medical in China, 365 kinds of herbal formulations are listed in three grades; 120 as top grade, another 120 as middle grade, and the remaining125 as low grade. Top grade herbal formulations generally refer to elixir for the immortals. Middle grade herbal formulations are notable for their invigorating efficacies, and low grade herbal formulations do not contain any chemical ingredients, and their functional characteristics are as stated below: 

Ø       Non-toxic (free from side-effects).

 

Ø       Efficacies not limited to only one specific organ.

 

Ø       Remarkable in promoting normal functions of various organ.

Lingzhi is a unique herb that possesses all the features described above. It is effective in regulating our physiological functions and helps prevent the onset of diseases. Although lingzhi is not a remedy that cures all ills, it is exceptional in strengthening our physical constitution and promoting longevity.
